command prompt: unhide folders and file

Displays or changes file attributes.

[drive:][path][filename] [/S [/D] [/L]]

+ Sets an attribute.
– Clears an attribute.
R Read-only file attribute.
A Archive file attribute.
S System file attribute.
H Hidden file attribute.
I Not content indexed file attribute.
[drive:][path][filename]
Specifies a file or files for attrib to process.
/S Processes matching files in the current folder
and all subfolders.
/D Processes folders as well.
/L Work on the attributes of the Symbolic Link versus
the target of the Symbolic Link

using attrib command prompt, file and folder attributes can be changed.

Save this file with .xml extension (please make sure you don’t save it in .txt or .doc format.)

  • Now go to tools –> Default user agent –> Edit User Agents option in Firefox and click on Import option.
  • Browse for the above .xml file you just created and import it.
  • Again navigate to Tools –> Default User Agent and select your phone’s model number, or the model which resemble the OS of your phone the most.
  • Now open the Ovi Store homepage and download all the application directly to your system.

simple steps so that you could save 10-15 minutes.

1. Boot using Windows XP CD

2. When select a partition option comes select “c”.

3. Format the partition with either NTFS or FAT

4. Next you see Press “ENTER” to Restart your system

Actual trick begins next

5. After rebooting you could see a screen below it saying some 40 minutes to complete or finalize the OS installation.

6. Now you need to open the command prompt by pressing–SHIFT + F10 Key

7. In command prompt enter ” Taskmgr ” (do not enter the double codds enter only the word in red color).This leads you to Task Manager.

8. In Task Manager Click the Process Tab

9.In Process Tab find the process called Setup.exe

10. Right click on the Setup.exe and Set Priority to High or Above Normal by selecting it.

11.Thats all and you could see the installation process completes in about 20 minutes.
